It is a comical song about a soldier's plea to General Custer before the climactic Battle of the Little Bighorn against the Sioux, which he did not want to fight.

At any rate, this Mr Custer record started my love of novelty records. It's sad to know now that there is only one person still making us laugh - Big Al Yankovich. May Larry Verne who sang this great song RIP. Passed away 10/8/13 at age 79 from heart failure. Still love the song after all these years.
