Birdland is a studio album by English blues rock band the Yardbirds, released in 2003. Their first studio album in over 35 years, the only band members from the 1960's group who appear are drummer Jim McCarty and rhythm guitarist Chris Dreja (former lead guitarist Jeff Beck does have a cameo on "My Blind Life"). Newer members are lead singer and bassist John Idan, lead guitarist Gypie Mayo and harmonica player Alan Glen.

Five Live Yardbirds is the live debut album by English rock band the Yardbirds. It features the group's interpretations of ten American blues and rhythm and blues songs, including their most popular live number, Howlin' Wolf's "Smokestack Lightning". The album contains some of the earliest recordings with guitarist Eric Clapton. Recorded at the Marquee Club in London on 20 March 1964, it was released in the United Kingdom by Columbia Records nine months later.

Five Live Yardbirds was the first important - indeed, essential - live album to come out of the 1960s British rock & roll boom. In terms of the performance captured and the recording quality, it was also the best such live record of the entire middle of the decade. Cut at a Marquee Club show in 1964, Five Live Yardbirds was a popular album, especially once Eric Clapton's fame began to spread after he left the band.

Roger the Engineer (originally released in the UK as Yardbirds and in the US, Germany, France and Italy as Over Under Sideways Down) is an album by English rock band the Yardbirds. Recorded and released in 1966, it is the only Yardbirds album with guitarist Jeff Beck on all tracks and contains all original material.

The Yardbirds Make Their Start. The Yardbirds began in the early 1960’s in the suburban outskirts of London as a band called the Metropolis Blues Quartet. By 1963, the group changed its name to The Yardbirds and the lineup included Keith Relf on vocals and harmonica, Paul Samwell-Smith on bass, Chris Dreja on rhythm guitar, Jim McCarty on drums, and Anthony Top Topham on lead guitar. Top Topham was only 16 when the band formed and he was under immense pressure from his family to quit and focus on more important things. The band recorded Five Live Yardbirds at the famous Marquee Club in London. Its song list contained 10 American blues and R&B songs. Though the album was heavily blues based, the band still melded into the mix a more rock and roll sound on some of the album’s songs.
