Live at Carnegie Hall is a 1976 live double album by British progressive rock band Renaissance. It presented songs from all of the band's Annie Haslam-era studio albums thus far, including the forthcoming (at the time of the concerts) Scheherazade and Other Stories. Live at Carnegie Hall. Cover art by Fred Marcellino. Live at Carnegie Hall (LP album notes). Live at Carnegie Hall may refer to: Live at Carnegie Hall 1963, Bob Dylan's six-song live set. Live at Carnegie Hall (Al Hirt album), a 1965 live album. Live at Carnegie Hall 1970, a live album by Jethro Tull. Live at Carnegie Hall (Dory Previn album), a 1973 album by singer-songwriter Dory Previn. Live at Carnegie Hall (Bill Withers album), a 1973 album by Bill Withers. All songs by Michael Dunford and Betty Thatcher, except where noted. Side A. "Prologue" (Dunford) - 7:35. Can You Understand?" - 10:20. Side B. "Carpet of the Sun" - 4:15. Running Hard" - 9:43. Mother Russia" - 10:48.

Listen free to Renaissance – Live at Carnegie Hall (Prologue, Ocean Gypsy and more). The best and most elegant and powerful version of Ashes are Burning you will ever hear! The sound quality in this live album and the workmanship makes the music come alive! It makes one tingle and makes one stop and really listen every time you will hear this version of Annie singing " Ashes are burning brightly, the smoke can be seen from afar, so now we're seeing how far? Ashes are buning the way!

Live At Carnegie Hall. A double CD 8 track re-issue of Renaissance’s 1976 'live' LP recorded in America with backing by the New York Philharmonic. This could easily be dubbed 'The Best Of Renaissance Live' as the tracks span the band’s early 70s career when they were at their commercial and critical peak. 03. Can You Understand. 04. Carpet Of The Sun. Prologue" (Dunford) - 7:35.

This performance by Renaissance took place in the Royal Albert Hall in London, and dates from October 1977. It was never actually broadcast in full, and lay unreleased for many years. The album features a full rendition of the "Song of Scheherazade" suite, complete with accompaniment by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Prologue" is a great opener, which while effectively an instrumental, originally contained some superb vocals by Annie Haslam. Here it is performed by the orchestra alone as an overture, prior to the band taking the stage. The result is clearly no match for the Carnegie Hall set which must be first choice for anyone looking for a Renaissance live album, but can still be enjoyed if you can see past the buzz.
