Les Concerts en Chine is a live album by Jean-Michel Jarre, recorded in 1981 and released in 1982 on Disques Dreyfus. It was recorded during Jarre's Concerts in China tour of Autumn 1981, which consisted of five Beijing and Shanghai concerts in China; this was the first time a Western pop artist performed in China after the Cultural Revolution.

After two years of negotiations, and five trips, on the 12th October 1981, a team of sixty musicians and technicians took seats in the Paris-Peking plane with 15 tons of stage gear in the plane`s hold. For the first time, a contemporary musician is autorised to play in the People's Republic of China since Mao's advent.

More than a concert film, "Les Concerts En Chine" retraces this unique adventure and illustrates, with Jean-Michel Jarre`s music, post-Mao China: its sufferings, its poetry, its desire for modernity, its aspiration for more liberty... images captured in 1981, at a historical moment when it seemed that China was opening itself to the outside world.[translated from French]
