Tattoo is the fifth album released by Rory Gallagher. It demonstrated Gallagher's eclectic range of musical influences starting with the blues and adding elements from jazz, folk, and country. Tattoo showcased the skill of Gallagher and his band across a number of genres from Delta and Chicago blues, the jazz-influenced "They Don't Make Them Like You Anymore" and blues-rock tracks such as "Tattoo'd Lady"

Tattoo, Blueprint - Студийный альбом от Rory Gallagher. В альбом вошло 17 треков. Продолжительность альбома: 01:30:48. The Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. 07:55.

Gallagher's work ethic was in high gear as he somehow found time to write nine more songs in the midst of non-stop touring for his second album released in 1973. Even more astounding is that far from sounding fatigued or burnt out, his performance here is loose and impassioned, and the tunes are some of the best of his career.

Rory Gallagher born William Rory Gallagher (2 March 1948 – 14 June 1995) was an Irish blues-rock t, songwriter, and bandleader. Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland, and raised in Cork, Gallagher recorded solo albums throughout 1970s and 1980s, after forming the band Taste during the late 1960s. Rory also used Stramp amps, and the Blueprint album cover shows an excerpt of the Stramp K85 ‘Power Baby’ circuit, which was an amplifier custom designed for Gallagher.

I saw Rory Gallagher on a BBC show called the Old Grey Whistle test. It was so stunning that I simply went down to my local record store and bought his latest album which is this one. It is probably his best studio work. He was blistering live. Rory Gallagher was/is the BEST guitarist of all time. what else IS there to say? NOone is better. Like it or lump it. Songs I favor here (even tho theyre ALL friggin amazing!) are: Tattoo'd Lady 20:20 Vision (a sweet acoustic tune!) They Dont Make Em Like You Anymore ( a fun jazzy song!). A Million Miles Away.

Tattoo (Rory Gallagher album). According to his brother, Gallagher was in a "prolific and confident mood" when he recorded it. The album showcased Gallagher's writing ability resulting in several songs that would go on to become staples of his live act. Tattoo'd Lady reflects Gallagher's love for the fairground life and its similarities to life on the road. Cradle Rock" was inspired by the happy coincidence that Gallagher "rocked literally all his life" having been born at the "Rock Hospital" in Ballyshannon, Ireland. Cradle Rock" was also covered by Joe.
