elcome to my third solo album Eminence. Throughout this recording I have put together a collection of genres of music which are performed on Cornet, Trumpet and Flugel Horn. The title Eminence has several meanings which brings this CD together. The dictionary describes the word Eminence as distinguished, renowned, and important. All of these words describe my role as Principal Cornet of the Black Dyke Band (distinguished), the band itself (renowned) and my York Eminence cornet (important). The CD contains two contrasting concertos, the Aagaard-Nilsen Cornet Concerto and the Arutjunjan Trumpet. To you the listener I hope you enjoy Eminence.
