The second album from Hail Spirit Noir is a trip into the obscure and all things black, filthy and psychedelic. It bears the title "OI MAGOI" (transl. the magicians") and features seven new chapter. psychoprog black metal album of trippy melodies and satyric ecstasy. released December 22, 2014. Hail Spirit Noir was founded in the dawn of 2010. Towards the end of 2011, the band joined forces with Code666/Aural music for a worldwide release of the debut album ‘Pneuma’ in the spring of 2012.

Only Hail Spirit Noir know how and with them all of us walking as often as we want outside their garden, enjoining the smell of an orchid ( Pneuma ) and being witnesses of a new seed ( Oi Magoi ) tending to be the flower that somehow reflects us. I confess that describing Oi Magoi is not as easy as having the wish to listen it unstoppable. This album can move all those who love listening to k albums, which can be described by on word: Artistic. More distinctly all the songs of the album will capture your existence through music and lyrics. In contrast with Pneuma, in here there are more lead guitars and melodies as in the second half of Blood Guru where you are magnetized by the repeated melody and in Demon for A Day with the folk chorus.

Hail Spirit Noir is a great band. At the same time they are dangerously addictive. Oi magoi, their second album, has some kind of magic in it. You can call it a binding spell. Every composition seems like having two or three different songs in it. I found myself not liking a song in the beginning and in the middle it blew me away. There are so many twists and turns, corners and hidden spots in the album that feels like walking in a labyrinth. The minds of these guys seem overly complicated but they manage to show us one or two flashes of their imagination. You need to give it time  . I am pretty sure that Oi magoi is not a concept album and how could it be with so many moods and layers in it. Should I call it schizophrenic at times, I am not sure, even after all these times I listened to it. And greek lyrics in the closing song" Yeah, why not!

Hail Spirit Noir's psychedelic black metal on Pneuma was an intriguing experiment; their tripped out psyche-prog blackened rock on Oi Magoi is the explosive result. A somewhat weightier album than Pneuma, running around 10 minutes longer, and it feels like a good judgement call on the band's part because their sound is genuinely richer and stands up to closer and more intense scrutiny here.
