Over is the sixth studio album by the English singer and songwriter Peter Hammill, released on Charisma Records in April 1977. It was issued for the first time on CD on Virgin Records in the early 1990s, and was reissued again in a remastered version in 2006 with bonus tracks. The album details the break-up of a long-term relationship with a woman known as Alice.

Tyrone Wells is an American singer/songwriter from Spokane, Washington. Wells was born in Seattle and raised in Spokane, Washington. He has said in interviews that he was inspired by his older sisters who "brought out the music in me" but did not begin songwriting until his move to California

In 1969 he recorded an album, Come Back Darling, again for Riley. On the day that he completed the album, Osbourne emigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to join his family. After singing with various soul and reggae groups, he became lead vocalist for Ishan People, and recorded two albums with them. Lady With the Red Dress, Joy in The Morning, Hard to Confess and Over the Rainbow were some of the trio's popular songs. After Seaton and Stewart left for solo careers, Roberts led a version of The Gaylads along with brothers Randell and Hopeton Thaxter. Later, they became The Psalms, recording and touring as Bunny Wailer's harmony group. He also would record with singer Tyrone Taylor. Lloyd was by this time associating with a group of musicians that would form the core of the group Skin Flesh & Bones.

Come on Over, the sequel to The Woman in Me, continues that approach, breaking from contemporary country conventions in a number of ways. Not only does the music lean toward rock, but its 16 songs and, as the cover proudly claims, "Hour of Music," break from the country tradition of cheap, short albums of ten songs that last about a half-hour.
