It will enrich the lives of all who read it. Richard Lannon, MD. coauthor of A General Theory of Love. Published in the UK as The Love Secret). A truly revolutionary, breakthrough boo. .It is time for us to learn from this science and let it help us to make strong, lasting, passionate connections – to help us come home! "This is a fascinating, paradigm-shifting book, impressive in its scope and depth and staggering in its implications for us all. It is a giant leap forward.

When it comes to lasting relationships, forget the L-word. When It Comes to Lasting Relationships, Forget the L Word.

Susan "Sue" Johnson graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1984 with a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. She reports in various sources that her interested in relationship science and couples therapy grew naturally out of being raised "in an English Pu. Dr. Johnson describes a fascination with the dance of adult love she watched unfold around her in that pub (and elsewhere). Sue Johnson is known for her innovative work in the field of psychology on bonding, attachment and adult romantic relationships.

In Hold Me Tight, Dr. Sue Johnson presents Emotionally Focused Therapy to the general public for the first time. Johnson teaches that the way to save and enrich a relationship is to reestablish safe emotional connection and preserve the attachment bond. With this in mind, she focuses on key moments in a relationship-from "Recognizing the Demon Dialogue" to "Revisiting a Rocky Moment" - and uses them as touch points for seven healing conversations. When I added this book to my "to read" shelf, it was primarily with the hope of being able to help counseling clients to understand their romantic attachments, but when I finally picked it up to read, it was in the hopes of improving my own rocky relationship. My partner was feeling smothered and unappreciated, and I was feeling abandoned and insecure.

When the time comes All I have done All that is and all that was all I’ve torn and worn, destroyed and undone Will be seen as one We will be as one When the time comes. I know why my caged bird sings He’s blaming others for cagey things The devil you know and the angel in the wings Are revealed as one It’s always just begun When the time comes. The future runs up ahead of me Holding hands with sometimes enemy The present cannot keep it’s shit together It’s only the past that last forever We will see that we have seen Our kingdom come and gone When the time comes.

Johnson explains that romantic love is an attachment bond, just like that between mother and child, and shows us how to develop our "love sense"-our ability to develop long-lasting relationships. LOVE SENSE covers the three stages of a relationship and how to best weather them; the intelligence of emotions and the logic of love; the physical and psychological benefits of secure love; and much more.
