Gabriel "Gabi" Delgado-López (born 18 April 1958 in Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain), commonly known as Gabi Delgado, is a composer, lyricist and producer. He is best known as singer and co-founder, with Robert Görl, of the electronic band Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft. Delgado-López grew up in Córdoba. In 1966, his family moved to Germany ("My father had to leave Spain under Franco"), where they lived in Remscheid, Wuppertal, Dortmund and Düsseldorf.

While DAF was on hiatus, Gabi Delgado moved to Zurich and released the solo album Mistress. DAF reunited and released the album "1st step to heaven". In 1986, Gabi Delgado moved to Berlin and became house DJ. He organized (together with WestBam and Marc Gubler) the first house party in Germany. With Saba Komossa he founded the techno house labels Delkom Club Control, BMWW und Sunday Morning Berlin. In 2003, Delgado joined Robert Görl for another DAF album, Fünfzehn Neue DAF Lieder.

Agreeing to pool their resources, Delgado and Görl recorded the first Deutsche Amerikanische Freundschaft album, Produkt der Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft, two years later. Released solely in Germany, the album featured 22 short, untitled instrumental fragments. Relocating to London, Deutsche Amerikanische Freundschaft performed their first concert at the Marquee Club. Signing with the independent Mute label, they released a single, "Kebabtraume," before experiencing personnel shifts
