Zodiacal light (also called false dawn when seen before sunrise) is a faint, diffuse, and roughly triangular white glow that is visible in the night sky and appears to extend from the Sun's direction and along the zodiac, straddling the ecliptic. Sunlight scattered by interplanetary dust causes this phenomenon. Zodiacal light is best seen during twilight after sunset in spring and before sunrise in autumn, when the zodiac is at a steep angle to the horizon.

If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, look in the west after sunset instead, for the same phenomenon, now called the false dusk.

The rising constellations rotate based on the Earth's path through space, and so can be used to mark the seasons in regions when moderate weather may not convey the change between winter and spring. However, many of the groupings most people consider to be constellations aren't officially constellations. The Big Dipper, for example, which lays inside of Ursa Major, is not recognized as a constellation. How far away are constellations?
Zodiac constellations are the 12 constellations that lie along the plane of the ecliptic, which is defined by the circular path of the Sun across the sky, as seen from Earth. While even Carl Gustav Jung said that astrology holds.
