This piano music is the Prelude in G minor Op. 23 No. 5 by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Like many of the composer's preludes this is a difficult piece to play, but rewarding to practice for the advanced music student. The outer sections are march-like in character with a flowing middle section. The video below shows the music being played in "piano roll" format, and below the video you can play the mp3 file or view the sheet music.

The Prelude Op. 28, No. 20, in C minor by Frédéric Chopin has been dubbed the "Funeral March" by Hans von Bülow but is commonly known as the "Chord Prelude" due to its slow progression of quarter note chords. The prelude was originally written in two sections of four measures, ending at m. 9. Chopin later added a repeat of the last four measures at a softer level, with an expressive swell before the final cadence.
