The Hard Lessons pack Volumes 1-4 of B & G Sides into one set, and create a stellar singles collection. In 2007, Detroit's The Hard Lessons released the first volume of its B & G Sides. Three more volumes followed, and now B &G Sides is being released as a package containing all four. The original concept was an interesting one. Each volume consisted of three tracks: an intro, a B (Boy) side and a G (Girl) side. Ahead of the 19 July release of their new album, Sterling, Americana duo Joanie and Matt deliver their "ode to depression and hopelessness" through their interpretation of the Hebrew Bible story.
