You're a Better Man Than I", alternately listed as "Mr. You're a Better Man Than I" or "Better Man Than I", is a song first recorded by the English rock band the Yardbirds. It was written by brothers Mike and Brian Hugg, and became the opening track to the group's second American album, Having a Rave Up with The Yardbirds (1965). Three months later in February 1966, it was released in the UK as the B-side to the "Shapes of Things" single.

Jeffrey Lynne (born 30 December 1947) is an English songwriter, singer, record producer, and t from Birmingham who co-founded the rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). The group formed in 1970 as an offshoot of the Move, of which Lynne was also a member. Following the departure of Roy Wood in 1972, Lynne assumed sole leadership of the band and wrote, arranged and produced virtually all of its subsequent records.

You get to meet Jeff Lynne in a suite inside a mock-posh Victorian hotel off Sloane Square, with chintzy upholstery, 19th century paintings on the walls, and bone china in the kitchenette, because this is where he's entertaining journalists to promote the first new Electric Light Orchestra album since 2001, Alone In The Universe. This might kill the interview before it's even begun, Jeff, but I need to say that I think you're a genius. Jeff Lynne: Well, thank you very much for that, but I'm just someone who's good at something. That's all. I'm crap at everything else.

They continued to have mammoth successes stateside when releasing their album 'Face The Music', the band played 68 shows in 76 days yet they were still snubbed in their native UK until their next release, the platinum selling 'A New World Record' and featured the hit singles 'Do Ya' and 'Livin' Thing'. My expectations for the show were through the roof and they we're much much better than I could have possibly imagined. They started out the show with a classic from the concerto for a rainy day called standing in the rain. The video effects combined with those fantastic strings was a marvelous opening to it was going to be a fantastic night to quote Jeff Lynne several times. There were no low points at all tonight.

The third album by Jack and Meg White was the right dynamite for a mainstream breakthrough. Jack’s Delta-roadhouse fantasies, Detroit-garage-rock razzle and busted-love lyricism, as well as Meg’s toy-thunder drumming all peaked at once. Loretta Lynn, ‘All Time Greatest Hits’. Anyone who thinks a woman singing country music is cute should listen to Fist City, where Lynn threatens to beat down a woman if she doesn’t lay off her man. Seventies greats like Rated ‘X' and The Pill brought feminism to the honky-tonks. The newly wed superstar gets personal on adult love songs such as "One Step Up" and "Walk Like a Ma. The marriage didn't last – but the music does.

Compilation album featuring the Jeff Lynne produced songs Go Down Rockin' and You Belong To Me and the new song on which Jeff plays piano called Ultimate Love. Released November 17, 2017. Released November 3, 2017. Contains Jeff Lynne's ELO performance of Showdown at Glastonbury A benefit album. Released November 25, 2016. Released August 19, 2016.
