Killer is the fourth studio album by the Alice Cooper band, released in November 1971. The album reached number 21 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and the two singles "Under My Wheels" and "Be My Lover" made the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Cooper said in the liner notes of A Fistful of Alice and In the Studio with Redbeard, which spotlighted the Killer and Love It to Death albums, that the song "Desperado" was written about his friend Jim Morrison, who died the year this album was released.

Why the Italians would do such short compilations remains a mystery, at least to me. Was this the Italian way of 'advertising' tracks from 12"'s so that the public would (only) get a teaser of the vinyls ? Or they had fun editing tracks into megamixes ? These CDs were all claimed to be mixed by certain DJs but certainly they were digitally mixed. But still, these releases were good. Take this one for example, it's a good showcase of the Italian Hardcore-Techno golden era. The Tenaki tracks are the ones I enjoy most but again at 2 minutes each leaves me yearning for more.Cattiveria 2 is also this short; in fact, both releases would fit on an 80-minute CD!Edit 2015: I presume they (Italian labels) used the same 'template' for the manufacture of CD, LP and cassette version, so that for example an LP would have the 'accepted maximum' of about 20 minutes per side.
