Norman Washington "Junior" Giscombe (born 6 June 1957) is an English singer-songwriter (frequently known simply by the mononym, Junior) who was one of the first British R&B artists to be successful in the United States. He is best known for his 1982 hit single, "Mama Used to Say". Giscombe was born in Wandsworth, London, and was a backing vocalist with Linx between 1980 and 1982.

Complete your Junior Giscombe collection. The A-Side of Step Off with vocals from Junior and the voice of Nuff Juice is somewhat similar to Junior biggest success "Mama Used To Say" and even more "Communication Breakdown" from 1983. Of course there are new elements in the song, but it's a solid Junior track. The really big thing is the B-Side, Step Off (The Boogie Pella), an instrumental track.

Of course there are new elements in the song, but it's a solid Junior track. The really big thing is the B-Side, Step Off (The Boogie Pella), an instrumental track. It's an awesome rhythm-break-boogie monster. Put the Incredible Bongo Band in a rocket to the nineties and you will probably get a similar result. It's a real dancefloor killer, rhythm is king.
