I Wish U Heaven is the eighth song on Prince's tenth album Lovesexy, and, four and a half months after the album's release, I Wish U Heaven was released as the album's third and final single. It was not included on the The B-Sides compilation, but was instead included as a b-side on the European single Peach. The extended version, titled I Wish U Heaven (Part 1, 2 & 3), uses lyrics from Housequake in its first section and Take This Beat, recorded a few months earlier, in its final section. This song was a replacement for "The Line", an upbeat jam featuring Boni Boyer and Sheila E. on backing vocals.
