Màquina! was a prog rock and jazz-rock group from Barcelona. It was formed in 1969 and disbanded in 1972. They were pioneers of progressive rock in Catalonia and Spain and their first album Why? is widely considered the most memorable of the progressive rock albums recorded there.

LA MAQUINA DE HACER PAJAROS was the band created by Charly Garc�a after dissolution of SUI GENERIS. It was a project which leave the folk genre of SUI GENERIS to achieve the symphonic rock. In the short life of this band, two LP's were recorded: "La M�quina de Hacer P�jaros" (1976) and "Pel�culas" (1977). LA MAQUINA was the most deep and complex intent of the symphonic rock in Argentina, and Garc�a introduced in it the new of two simultaneous keyboardists (himself and Cutaia). Maybe this new style were the most significant barrier between the band and the people, habitued to most simple SUI GENERIS.
