Life's Been Good" is a song by Joe Walsh, which first appeared on the soundtrack to the film FM. The original eight-minute version was released on Walsh's album But Seriously, Folks.

As far as studio albums go, But Seriously Folks is Joe Walsh's most insightful and melodic. But Seriously Folks, released in 1978, was the album the Eagles should have made rather than the mediocre The Long Run. It captures a reflective song cycle along the same thematic lines of Pet Sounds, only for the '70s

American musician, songwriter, record producer, and actor. It contained the single "Life's Been Good", his comedic depiction of rock stardom, which peaked at No. 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and remains to date his biggest solo hit. Walsh also contributed "In the City" to The Warriors soundtrack in 1979, a song penned and sung by Walsh that was later rerecorded for the Eagles' studio album, The Long Ru. .There Goes the Neighborhood was Walsh's first album since the demise of the Eagles, and it peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard 200. The album only spawned one single, "A Life of Illusion", which became one of Walsh's most popular songs.

Written-By – Joe Vitale (tracks: A4, B3), Joe Walsh (tracks: A1, A3, B1, B2, B4). Notes. Japanese issue in gatefold cover with obi & 4-page picture/lyric/liner note insert.

Joe Walsh's fourth album,. But Seriously Folks, is best known for producing the hit single "Life's Been Good. But that's just the most obvious starting point of a record that proved to be one of Walsh's most durable LPs. Comparisons to the Eagles for the album came early and often - and not just because this was the first stand-alone project Walsh released after he joined the group before 1976's Hotel California But Seriously Folks, though they're mere footnotes on an album that strikes a more considered b.

The cover of the But Seriously Folks album shows Walsh eating a meal. Source: professional guitarist and huge Joe Walsh fan. Alan from Caboolture, AustraliaI'm sure that the original lyrics to this song included "I lock the doors in case I get drunk," but were changed to avoid controversy. Has anyone else heard this, and even better, is there a video on youtube that contains those lyrics?
