Over the years, the album has had various different incarnations - from an EP called "Take Six," to a 1982 single disc release (with less tracks than the original) called, "Let's Stomp!" and now this, re-mastered CD. Although this version claims to have all original "24" tracks, the original album had 29 tracks: 1. Introduction by Bill Harry 2. Let's Stomp by Faron's Flamingos 3. I Can Tell by Rory Storm and the Hurricanes 4. Who Shot Sam? By Sonny Webb and the Cascades 5. Beechwood 4-5789 by Ian and the Zodiacs 6. Give Me Time by Faron's Flami. Overall, this is a great collection and of great interest to fans of early Merseybeat and show cases the kind of acts on the scene in Liverpool in the early Sixties.

Beat music, British beat, or Merseybeat (after bands from Liverpool and nearby areas beside the River Mersey) is a popular music genre of rock and roll that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1960s. The exact origins of the terms 'beat music' and 'Merseybeat' are uncertain

This is a private records collection of The Beatles. The owner of this collection is sure that this site will provide lots of useful information for people interested in collecting of Beatles vinyl. Information - is the main purpose of the site, however some things will be released for sale. The conceptual compilation album containing the original artist recordings of songs composed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney in the 1960s that they had elected not to release as Beatles songs. During their career as the main song writers for the Beatles, John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote a number of songs that thay gave away to other artists, many of whom were old friends from Liverpool. Curiously, the first song that Lennon and McCartney gave away – I’ll Be On My Way, recorded by Billy J. Kramer in 1963, is also the only song The Beatles officially recorded for BBC on 4 April 1963.

By the end of 1962, the Merseybeats lineup had solidified around Crane and Kinsley, with Aaron Williams joining on rhythm guitar in place of Elias and John Banks succeeding Sloane. The group made their recording debut around this time as part of the Oriole label's Liverpool showcase, This Is Merseybeat
