The Scream is the debut studio album by British alternative rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees. Recorded in one week and mixed in three during August 1978, it was released on 13 November 1978 by record label Polydor. Before the album's release, the band had developed a strong reputation as a live act, and had achieved a Top 10 UK single with "Hong Kong Garden" (which did not appear on the original album).

Scream is the eleventh studio album by English heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne, released in the United Kingdom on 14 June 2010 and his most recent solo album as of 2019. The album was recorded at Osbourne's home studio "The Bunker" in Los Angeles, California and produced by himself and Kevin Churko, who had previously worked on Black Rain in 2007.

Despite yielding Primal Scream’s biggest radio hit of their career in the big-riffing and overplayed Rocks, 1994’s Give Out But Don’t Give Up was a dog’s dinner of an album by pretty much any measure. That much would be true even if it hadn’t followed an era-defining classic. As well as heroin addictions (a US tour with Depeche Mode would nearly result in the death of members of both bands), Primal Scream had developed an unwise obsession with US classic rock, funk and blues. The sense of studied cool that had served the band so well temporarily left them  . I remember thinking there was something up with the stereo, the first time I heard Accelerator, so vicious does it sound. Piling guitars on guitars on guitars, it’s the most punk rock three-and-a-half minutes Primal Scream have put their name to.

Then I heard the enormous infinite scream of nature. Interpretation of Munch's famous The Scream Painting Quote. In the painting, the subject's mouth and whole face are pulled into the recognizable shape of a scream, but Munch tells us that he heard the scream - importantly, he does not say that he himself actually screamed (at least not out loud).

The album's harmonious marriage of fiery punk and pointed emotion laid a blueprint followed by virtually every hardcore band to follow, while the group's much-espoused clean living inspired a whole straight-edge subculture. Today, it's a touchstone of American punk. 4. Bad Brains - 'Bad Brains'. ROIR, 1982) Hardcore's unlikeliest heroes, these African American former jazz musicians not only waxed some of the most searing punk rock ever heard ("Pay to Cum," "Sailin' On," "Banned in .

Talk about Subculture - I Heard A Scream

Corgustari
So this was one of the 1st real "PUNK" albums I ever heard, and I don't remember much about it because someone stole it, so so traditionally punk. My mom, worked with Linda Phillips, late mother of Chris Phillips (2), and he was the drummer for this outfit. The same Chris Phillips went on to be in many bands, most well known being Squirrel Nut Zippers. As I remember, a hell of a nice guy who took the time out to give me a few drum lessons in middle school, and very talented. When I am crowned "Best Drummer In The World" in the future, I will have to name drop! That being said, a correction could be made to give Chris Phillips (2) credit here. I don't wanna mess with the RP info, since I don't have this LP anymore, but it would be cool, mainly because my moms says he didn't really like talking about being in this band, for whatever reason!

and are an incredible extrapolation of the ideas on this record by guys over 40 at the time

This is great. It should also be noted that KC went on to sing in Double Negative, who I do not know how to tag on here
Braswyn
I added Chris's name to D(9)'s page.
