Scary Bill - Planet X flac album

Planet X is an instrumental rock supergroup, founded by keyboardist Derek Sherinian and drummer Virgil Donati. Throughout more than a decade of activity, they have released three studio albums and a live album, each with a variety of guest musicians and oft-changing lineups. After his four-year tenure with progressive metal band Dream Theater, Sherinian released his first solo album entitled Planet X in 1999.

The Bill Evans Album is an album by the jazz pianist Bill Evans, released in 1971. At the Grammy Awards of 1972, The Bill Evans Album won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Solo and the Best Jazz Performance by a Group awards. The Bill Evans Memorial Library states it is the first recording in which Evans used a Fender Rhodes piano. The Bill Evans Album was reissued with three bonus alternative tracks by Sony in 2005. In the end, Red Planet with Bill Carrothers is an album about honesty and discovery, as two musical entities come together for the first time in serendipitous fashion. In some ways, it acts as a homecoming of sorts for Carrothers, a Twin Cities native who has long since left for New York before moving to the upper peninsula of Michigan and a busy touring schedule in Europe

I posted this over at the doommetal forum but figured I'd give it a shot over here to. .Does anyone know of any bands (preferably from the 60's or 70's) which emit a vibe similar to the one found on Planet Caravan? I've found a band called Yatha Sidhra whose self titled LP sort of hits the spot, but not quite. Any band I've found usually only has one song like this, but generally has some sort of standard hard psychedelic rock/proto metal as their actual "sound". I'd prefer bands that were always laid back in this bizarre other dimensional smoky gauze.
