This is an album of piano music from three great Russian composers: Stravinsky, Mussorgsky, and Tchaikovsky. They include Three Movements from Petrouchka, Pictures at an Exhibition, and Dumka, respectively. Long ago as a teenager I first heard Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition in the form of Ravel's orchestration performed by Arturo Toscanini with the NBC Symphony Orchestra, and I was delighted with it. That version is still in my head.
