Bad" is a song by American recording artist Michael Jackson. It was released by Epic Records on September 7, 1987 as the second single from Jackson's third major-label and seventh studio album of the same name. The song was written and composed by Jackson, and produced by Quincy Jones and Jackson. Jackson stated that the song was influenced by a real-life story he had read about, of a young man who tried to escape poverty by attending private school but ended up being killed when he returned home.
Bad is Michael Jackson's 7th studio album, released by Epic Records on August 31, 1987. This album consists of 11 of Jackson's songs, one that features Stevie Wonder and another that features Siedah Garrett. Bad is the 19-27th most sold album worldwide with 65,000,000 sold. Here's Michael Jackson's "Bad", and here's West Side Story's "Cool". You be the jury or cool? This was the second of a record five consecutive US singles from the Bad album. The album sold over 25 million copies, which is great, but still less than half of what Thriller sold. Bad, however, is the only studio album to have spawned five singles. The other chart-toppers are "I Just Can't Stop Loving You," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Man In The Mirror" and "Dirty Diana.
