Always releasing one album per year, Gerald Levert dropped Do I Speak for the World last year, which is his best album since 2001's Gerald's World, for The G Spot (2002) had its moments of splendor and I was really disappointed with Stroke of Genius (2003). I felt that with that album he was running low on ideas, so it's interesting to see him sing this time about the ills of society as well as his usual love themes. I disagree with those who say that he should leave those political songs alone. They make for a well-rounded album.
