The album was recorded in Nashville and produced by Tony Brown. In the United States, the album debuted at number 29 on the Billboard 200 and number four on the Billboard Top Country Albums.

I have great memories of this album and all it's tunes. Who's Crying Now was the first release off of the ESCAPE album, and it put the great Steve Perry's voice on display for all to hear and enjoy.
