Collection features Steve Lukather, Steve Morse, John Sykes, Doug Aldrich and many more. I asked many members of the Gary Moore family tree, and some other great players, to contribute to the project. The response was not only encouraging but very moving. It seems that the name Gary Moore is also synonymous with the words 'respect,’ 'honor' and 'greatness.

Solid-Gold Guitar Slinger. Didn’t you recently play it on a Les Paul tribute? Yeah, I went to the studio and there was Abe (Laboriel) Junior and Senior, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd – nice kid and great player. We did a couple of tracks, trading solos back and forth; I was playing my Music Man on the basic tracks and brought along my Les Paul – it’s a Les Paul album – I had to play a Les Paul. Then they asked me to do the live concerts in New York at Carnegie Hall, and at the . I didn’t want to take the ‘burst to New York, so I used a reissue for that. How did the new album come about? It really started a while ago. I had a great time working with Larry Carlton back in 2001.

Even background vocals. Also, rhythm guitar is the key. That and a great drummer, and you've got a great band! Look at Malcolm Young - you take Malcolm Young out of AC/DC, what do you got? I mean, it's still a great band, those are still great songs, but you don't.

Steve Lukather’s new album Transition on Mascot Records strikes a perfect balance of style, power and imagination as he takes risks and challenges himself in ways most other players can’t even approach. Guitarists 4 the kids. Guitar gods: The classic rock anthems. The Royal Dan, a tribute. Welcome to the nightmare: An all star tribute to Alice Cooper.

Following an album with the legendary avant-jazz group Soft Machine in 1975, he migrated first to drummer Tony Williams’ Lifetime project, then to French-English prog rockers Gong, before landing in the supergroup . It was there, working alongside drummer Bill Bruford, bassist John Wetton, and keyboardist Eddie Jobson, that Holdsworth first came to the attention of many guitarists. Steve Vai Allan Holdsworth’s unique contribution to the electric guitar is unquantifiable. I remember him saying to me once that his goal was to create a catalog of music that was undiluted.

Steve Lukather: I cant believe it! Allan Holdsworth, legendary guitarist of our generation ! He changed the game + was the sweetest guy eve. I do not really agree with the influences that I always quote halen, except Holdsworth I think he himself lies about some guitarists that get things out and that for some reason that only he knows he didn't want to give birth to those influences for example about pinch harmonics and other harmonic techniques passing all finger over the freet, Roy Buchanan.

The album features Dave LaRue and Van Romaine of the Steve Morse Band on bass and drums, respectively. The album has a textural, acoustic sound that differs from Morse's previous work. Guitarist Shawn Lane regarded Steve Morse as one of the most talented guitarists of his time. Ritchie Blackmore, who preceded Morse in Deep Purple, has stated, "Steve Morse is an incredible player. A lot of people try to get some wisecrack out of me, but when you're talking about guitar players along Morse's caliber, they're brilliant. Morse has proven himself throughout his career as capable of playing highly complex chord structures in classical sequences, as well as being able to play fast, alternate picked arpeggios. 2014 Midnight Rider – A Tribute To The Allman Brothers Band (various artists tribute to The Allman Brothers Band.
