He is know for the "Gangsta Rap" and "R&B" music he did during the 1990's and 2000's which consist of tracks that was popular in central Bakersfield such as "199-Park", "Real Niggaz In Jail Cells", "Pass Da Guage," and More. In 1996 after serving 5 years on the mainline at: "Soledad State Prison," in the state of California for a firearm conviction 'E-Loc (Big E-Loc), was determine to change his life.

Eric Nichols: better known as ( E. Loc), or by his stage name (Loc1), is a rapper from Bakersfield California. He is know for the "Gangsta Rap" he did during the 1990's which consist of tracks that was popular in central Bakersfield such as "199-Park", "Real Niggaz In Jail Cells, and "Pass Da Guage he did with Big Snake, and More.

In 1996 'E-Loc (Big E-Loc), signed his first deal with "War-Zone Records" which was based in Los Angeles, but had a mobile sub-unit stationed in Bakersfield California at the time. That same year he recorded his first releases on CD's and cassette tapes which featured soundtracks that made noise throughout central California tracks such as: "Ain't No Side Like The West Side," "Bust'n Out Wit The Funk," and "What You See Ain't Always What You Get" .

Big E Loc is also recognized as a west coast pioneer in terms of rap music coming out of the Central Valley from Bakersfield California back in the 1990's and early 2000's. He is also know for his association and the work he did with various artist such as "Cream & Sb" better known as (U-Turn), DJ. Phresh Kutz, Big Sneaky A.D, Big Snake, Turk Madnizz, Lurk1, the Def Dames, G.R., Fast Blacc, T-Bone, Thin One, and more..
