The 2017 Triple J Hottest 100 was announced on 27 January 2018. It was the 25th countdown of the most popular songs of the year, as chosen by listeners of Australian radio station Triple J. A record-breaking number of voters (. 86 million) participated by choosing their top ten songs of 2017
Triple J Hottest 100 Australians Albums of all time. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 is the fourth studio album by Midnight Oil that was released on vinyl in 1982 under the Columbia Records label. Although the album varies in musical style, it mostly consists of gangsta and ragga hip hop. Throughout the album, the group make various references to Sydney landmarks (such as the Sydney Opera House) and areas such as Penrith, Parramatta, Mount Druitt and St. Marys of Western Sydney. The album directly samples segments of Star Wars, Excalibur and various horror films. All turntablism is by DJ Vame. In 2011, Knights Of The Underground Table placed 91st on Triple J's "Industry List" as part of the Triple J Hottest 100 Australian Albums of All Time, 2011 poll.
Previous 'Triple J Hottest 100', and 'Hot 100', polls allowed voters to submit their favourite tracks of all time. Triple J introduced the poll in 1989. The title was changed from the 'Hot 100' for the 1991 poll, after radio station 4ZZZ objected to the use of the name. Ex 4ZZZ staff, working at Triple J, had allegedly appropriated the concept and name from the Brisbane alternative community radio station, who had introduced their 'Hot 100' listener poll and countdown in 1976.

The 2011 Triple J Hottest 100 was announced on Australia Day 26 January 2012. It is the nineteenth countdown of the most popular songs of the year, as chosen by the listeners of Australian radio station Triple J. Voting commenced on 14 December 2011, and closed on 16 January 2012. A separate poll for the most popular album of the year was held in late November and early December 2011, with Making Mirrors by Gotye being voted the most popular album of the year.
In May 2011, Triple J music director Richard Kingsmill announced that the station would be conducting another special Triple J Hottest 100 listener-voted poll the following month, counting down the best 100 albums by Australian artists. Voting began on 6 June, and concluded on the evening of 26 June
This is the first Hottest 100 Of All Time where . did not achieve any tracks. In all other years, they had achieved at least two. Only one vote separated No One Knows by Queens of the Stone Age from Hey Jude by The Beatles. Franz Ferdinand is the second band behind Powderfinger to come 1st and 100th in a Hottest 100. Take Me Out is also the first song in the Hottest 100 to have reached both ends of the countdown. This is the first Of All Time countdown to not feature any songs from the year of the countdown
