With their new album Break Out (the band's first for Concord Records) Soulive are poised top become the funk brothers of the 21st century, turning in a groundbreaking set with a tightness and authority reminiscent of the genre's boundary blurring studio legs-end, from the legendary Motown house band and Stax's MG's, to the Muscle Shoals rhythm section. Features special guests Robert Randolph, Corey Glover, Ivan Nevelle and Chaka Khan.

Soulive is definitely one of the coolest bands out today, we are just so used to their trio stuff and what not. This album is pretty cool, the production on it makes it seem like its background music, but there are some really cool cuts on it. it will grow on you if you are a true soulive fan. Too studio/big beat slick. Don't lose your roots, boyz!! BREAK OUT! 3. By magic88keys. That's my jam. It's such an infectious beat both A & B sections. I can see them riding this out live. Amazing!!! 5. By Cat72. I love this album and I love this group! Soulive is one of the most talented and unusual groups I have ever heard. I saw them when they were the openers at a John Mayer concert and loved them. especially the ones with lyrics to them. 3. By Shock J. This album is OK, but not as good as any of their previous efforts.
