Delaney & Bonnie were the American musical duo of singer/songwriters Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett. In 1969 and 1970, they fronted a rock/soul ensemble, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, whose members at different times included Duane Allman, Gregg Allman, George Harrison, Leon Russell, Bobby Whitlock, Dave Mason, Rita Coolidge, King Curtis, and Eric Clapton. Delaney Bramlett (July 1, 1939, Pontotoc County, Mississippi – December 27, 2008, Los Angeles) learned the guitar in his youth

Delaney and Bonnie hit their pop-soul prime on this, their first Atlantic Records album. Buoyed by their acclaim from their first Elektra album, as well as their association with Eric Clapton, the group switched record labels and recorded this, probably their most definitive album. Backed by an awesome cast of musicians which included Jim Gordon (drums), Kenny Gradney (bass - later of Little Feat), and many others, this record shows why anyone connected with the band became a tambourine-shaking convert to soul-based rhythm & blues rock

Delaney & Bonnie and Friends was a rock/soul revue fronted by husband-and-wife singer/songwriters Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett. Delaney and Bonnie are generally best remembered for their albums On Tour with Eric Clapton and Motel Shot. On Tour was their best-selling album by far, and is the only official document of their live work. Delaney and Bonnie were considered by many to be at their best on stage.

Home (Delaney & Bonnie album). Home is the debut album by husband-and-wife singers Delaney & Bonnie, released on the Stax label (catalog no. STS-2026). Most of the album was recorded at Stax Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, from February to November 1968, with additional overdubs in July 1969, and features many of Stax's house musicians, including Donald "Duck" Dunn, Steve Cropper, Booker T. Jones, and Isaac Hayes.

To Bonnie from Delaney is the fourth album by Delaney & Bonnie and Friends. It was their first studio album for the Atco/Atlantic label (catalog no. SD 33-341), and their fourth album overall. Coincidentally, Atco/Atlantic's parent company purchased the Bramletts' previous label Elektra Records around this time. The album peaked at on the Billboard album chart in October 1970, with a single from the album released around that same time, "Soul Shake", also charting.
