MARKUS RILL has been Germany’s finest Americana musician for a long time now and he has a bunch of new stories to tell. It hasn’t been all that long since his last album Wild Blue & True was released on Blue Rose Records but if you look at this internationally renowned songwriter’s track record and compare his current output with his earlier albums you will notice how he has matured and how easily lyrics & music seem to spring from his pen these days. Markus Rill’s new album My Rocket Ship is a case in point. And because his band and a handful of outside musicians contributed so. significantly to this record that the collaborative feel is tangible it’s only logical that for the first time in ten years Rill’s name doesn’t stand alone on the cover – his excellent band deserves second billing.

Dream Anyway" won Rill the German Country Music Awards for Album Of The Year and for Singer Of The Year.
