Illud Divinum Insanus" is the album the Metal world has been desperately anticipating for more than ten years! Illud Divinum Insanus is the eighth studio album by American death metal band Morbid Angel. It was released on June 7, 2011, by independent French record label Season of Mist. It is Morbid Angel's first album since Heretic (2003), the band's longest gap to date between studio albums. This is the only Morbid Angel album to feature guitarist Destructhor and drummer Tim Yeung, making it their first not to feature Pete Sandoval, who was recovering from surgery.

What? No one has reviewed this? Well, I am not too surprised on this site. Most reviews of stuff like this are from the standpoint of pure hatred, and in this case, the only people who would be doing that would be the diehard metal fans. Seeing as this site doesn't really have too many metal fans, I can see why this has gone under the radar a bit.Anyways, let's get to it. The original song that is being remixed here, I am Morbid, is an absolute shit song. It is a far cry from the old Morbid Angel songs from the early 90s and what not. It lacks the intensity, the musical annihilation, and the chaos that is normally brought by this band. However, the remixes of this sub-par track are actually really pleasant. You have a great array of electronic powers represented on this that range from UK Hardcore to a aggrotech / industrial view. I enjoy most of the remixes on this. Mind you, there are a few of them here that I just do not like, but I can't really let those weigh too much on my rating of this, seeing as the whole point of this release was to get a wider perspective on this song. Every electronic fan should be able to find at least one remix on here that they enjoy. My top tracks to look forward to are:Micropoint - I am MorbidEvil Activities - RadikultIgorrr - Remixou Morbidou Buy it, listen to it, enjoy it. That's what music is all about. This is a fun release and it deserves far more attention here than what it has received thus far.

Interesting stuff indeed. Dubstep can be very aggresive as well as DnB which fits quite well with Death Metal :D
