Shine through the sky Beyond the matrix Feel what it's like To reach divinity Aim at the sky open your mind Then you will be balanced and free Be the master over your own energy. Shake off oiled feathers, leave your past behind Use your inner force to reach your true self When there's no future you can't be occupied By non-essential waste and ruins of the past. Recreate your hologram Dare to dive and fall The point of no return restrains us. Shine through the sky Beyond the matrix Feel what it's like To reach divinity Aim at the sky open your mind Then you will be balanced.

The soundtrack of Beyond Good& Evil was composed by Christophe Héral. A song called "Funky Mullah" was originally planned to be used in the Akuda Bar, but it was replaced by "Propaganda" because Héral decided that its muezzin vocals, recorded on September 8, 2001, would have been in bad taste in the wake of the September 11 attacks. The crashing metal sound effects of "Metal Gear DomZ", music played during a boss fight, were recorded from the son of Héral's neighbor playing with scrap metal. The voices in the city of Hillys were also recorded by Héral himself
This album also marked the return of Matt Sorum as The Cult's drummer Although Sorum had previously toured with the band on the Sonic Temple tour in 1989 and 1990, this was the first time that he had recorded a studio album with the band. 1 Background and writing. 5 Additional musicians.
