Seattle based artist Meri von Kleinsmid bring us this short, but intense . recorded during the spring of the last year. Three tracks plus a remix; a brief release offered to all our con-v visitors as a little "thank you". Recently she has released a CD, "ex vivo", on Mimeograph.

Meri von KleinSmid is a classically trained musician, composer, sound-artist, and phonographer, with an academic background in Western music and ethnomusicology. Born in Los Angeles, California, von KleinSmid's music studies started at school with choir and flute, after which she studied piano and violin under private tutors. At the University of Washington and Columbia College in Chicago she concentrated in the history of Western music and ethnomusicology.

Meri von KleinSmid was born in Los Angeles, California, and studied choral music, piano, violin and flute as a child. She was educated at the University of Washington and Columbia College Chicago, where she studied music history and ethnomusicology. She lived for a while in Cambridge, England, but later moved to the Seattle/Vancouver area. The CD 60X60, including her work, won an award at the Just Plain Folks Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.
