Simple Dreams is the eighth studio album by the American rock singer-songwriter Linda Ronstadt, released in 1977 by Asylum Records. Originally, the cover photograph was to show Ronstadt dressed in a mini-slip and seated in front of multiple mirrors. Uncomfortable with the physical exposure, she changed into a robe, and the picture was made artificially grainy

Tony G - Simple Dreams (Young Marco Remix).

One of the most successful albums of Ronstadt's career, Simple Dreams spent five successive weeks at on the Billboard album chart in late 1977, displacing Fleetwood Mac's Rumours at after 29 record-breaking weeks in the pole position. It also knocked Elvis Presley out of on Billboard's Country Albums chart after 'The King' held the gridlock for fifteen consecutive weeks following his death in August. It won the Grammy Award for Best Recording Package (in addition to several other high profile Grammy nominations).

Chris1972 - the label originally did not want to repress. there was a lot of pressure from distribution outlets for a repress due to so much demand for the young marco remix. rush hour pleaded to pay for a repress and finally the label caved. i'm sorry that you feel slighted, but this was not a premeditated promo trick. we had no idea that this would take off like it did. on the bright side, the original press seems to be worth much more than the white label repress. again i apologize that you do not feel satisfied with the handling of the release.

The press release that came with the original pressing said '99 copies - NO REPRESS' !!!No problem with it being repressed but why say that to start out with if it's not the case? It just feels like people are being drawn in under false pretences. I can see what the labelare trying to do (e.g. have a ridiculously low initial pressing, in this case 99 copies, create undergroundhype/buzz in order to sell more copies with a larger, second pressing) but ethically and morallyit doesn't feel right especially for those punters who paid over the odds getting the limited original pressingshipped overseas. I should have waited another 6 months and got the repress from Juno!Shame as the music's great...Just the promotion of it is wrong...
