Lost Graves - Cave Burial flac album

Burial is the debut studio album by London electronic producer Burial, released in 2006 on Kode9's Hyperdub label. Considered a landmark of the mid-2000s dubstep scene, the album's sound features a dark, emotive take on the UK rave music that preoccupied Burial in his youth, including 2-step, jungle, and UK garage. Critics have variously interpreted the release as an elegy for the dissipated rave movement and a sullen audio portrait of London.

Lost Graves is a relatively new, however fierce, project. Following several releases over the past year comes Buried At Sea, dedicated to the sunken ships full of crews that never received a proper burial. Dive into these chaotic walls sure to put you in the shoes of any sailor caught in a deadly storm. Side A, titled The Last Stitch, begins with a quote from a child about dying while at sea.

A burial complex on the Lami mountain in the Nerchinsk area consisted of graves about 30 meters in length, divided into 4 sections. Not plundered fence was covered by several slabs each weighing up to 0,5 tons. Under cover slabs was an altar with skulls of horses, cows and sheep. Below were five burial chambers for inhumation. Most of the graves were looted. The buried clothing and footwear is colorful, with various ornaments of bronze, bone and stone: plaques, buttons, necklaces, pendants, mirrors, cowrie shells.

Allegedly, everyone who dug Genghis Khan’s grave was killed, and then killers were themselves killed, so nobody knew exactly where the warlord was buried. Khan’s corpse was then placed in an unmarked grave to ensure his rest would be undisturbed. Horses trampled all evidence of the burial, and some say a river was diverted to flow over the site. As a result of these extreme measures, the location of Khan’s tomb has remained unknown. Genghis Khan’s final resting place has since become one of the most sought after prizes in archaeology.
