Peaking Lights (live). Peaking Lights are in many ways the ideal band for Dekmantel – both our label, where we released their "Sea of Sand" EP last year, and our festivals. Their music is a jumbled salad of many loveable things under the musical sun: rippling psychedelic guitar lines, dubbed-out basslines, slo-mo house percussion, synth-pop melodies, ambient glide, and a hefty serving of California cool as dressing.

Peaking Lights will release their first record of 2018, the Sea Of Sand EP, via Dekmantel. The six-track EP stretches over 30 minutes, and is the husband and wife duo's first release on a label other than their own imprint, Two Flowers, in three years. Dekmantel calls the recent effort, which sets the stage for a new album, a "melting pot of dainty dub, experimental and leftfield beats.

Californian electronic pop duo Peaking Lights make a splash on Dekmantel with 'Sea of Sand', the band’s first release in 2018. Their 5th album titled, "The Fifth State Of Consciousness", is a double LP produced in Peaking Lights Dreamfuzz studio over the last two years. It's both a departure from the new and a return to the old with a whole new twist on the psychedelic dub-pop they've become know for.

Peaking Lights' first vinyl releases, Imaginary Falcons (2009) and Space Primitive (2010), both appeared on Night People, and contained extremely lo-fi space-pop songs shrouded in echo and tape hiss. 2012 saw the release of the duo's third album, Lucifer, a more professionally recorded album which expanded their sound and included guest vocalizations from their newborn son Mikko. Lucifer in Dub and the house-centric Lucifer Re-Lit followed.
