Produced by Del Newman. Album A Tapestry of Dreams. She may be the face I can’t forget A trace of pleasure or regret May be my treasure or The price I have to pay. She may be the song that summer sings May be the chill that autumn brings May be a hundred different things Within the measure of a day. She may be the beauty or the beast May be the famine or the feast May turn each day into a heaven Or a hell. She is a song written by Charles Aznavour and Herbert Kretzmer, which was released as a single in 1974. It was designed as the British TV series Seven Faces of Woman’s theme tune. Italian singer Laura Pausini and English singer Elvis Costello covered the song–as long as many other singers. Did this song hit any chart? Yes, definitely.

I have a copy that is gatefold, and says "Manufactured and distributed by RCA Limited, Records Division, RCA House, Curzon St., London W1," but the matrix / runout looks like this:Matrix / Runout (Hand Etched Runout, Side A.): 90003-A-2 A2AJMatrix / Runout (Hand Etched Runout, Side B.): 90003-B-2 A3MIt also says "Barclay Special 90.003" on the spine, like the French edition, but the French matrix / runout numbers are different than my copy's (above).

Wonderful eclectic album. She is the stand out track but it is backed up by some emotional stunners. I have now decided Charles is a Gallic cross between Sinatra and Neil Diamond.
