Although an innovator and an entrepreneur in a million ways (he was one of the first Brazilian artists to found his own label), he had relatively no business acumen, and his penchant for not keeping to scheduled meetings and even his own concerts - showing up obscenely late, or not at all - had grown so famous as to make concert promoters and. record labels reluctant to work with him. Warner Brothers took on a risk putting out ‘Disco Club’ in 1978.
