Thor & Friends (LM Dupli-Cation). An Austin music scene fixture for over two decades, iconoclast percussionist Thor Harris counts CV highlights spanning Shearwater to Swans. A half-dozen instrumental LPs already behind him, this self-titled debut from his new ensemble joins him with fellow mallet enthusiasts Sarah "Goat" Gautier and Peggy Ghorbani.

Thor & Friends Self-Titled (LM Duplication). Probably better known as the percussionist for Swans as well as Shearwater for nearly a decade, Thor Harris and company churn out experimental minimalism here, making use of clarinets, violins, vibraphones and xylophones, among others, thereby laying down moods that are tense, dreamy and mysterious.
