Tamar is the debut album from singer Tamar Braxton. The album’s working title was Ridiculous. Tamar has stated in interviews that she is not fond of this album due to not having any creative control and considers her second album Love and War to be her true first album. The album debuted at number one-hundred and twenty seven on the US Billboard 200 and number forty-two on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Due to decreasing sale competition with Mobb Deep's Hell on Earth and Foxy Brown's Ill Na Na, the album made a poor performance on the charts at on the Billboard 200. The Braxtons all broke up in 1998, with Tamar still pursuing her solo career.
Tamar Braxton is back on the chart scene with new single My Man. It just rolled out of me, says the singer-songwriter of the emotional declaration inspired by her parents’ pre- and post-divorce relationship. I wanted to channel my mother and say the things she probably should have said then.
Album · 2017 · 11 Songs. As the star of TV’s Braxton Family Values, Tamar Braxton's on-screen persona is colorful and brash, but her fifth album unveils a more mellow and soulful side.
