Slide on This is the title of Ronnie Wood's fifth solo album. It failed to chart in US, but went to sell 58,000 copies there according to Soundscan. In Japan, it charted for four weeks in the top 100, reaching and selling 21,000 copies. Six years after its initial appearance, Ronnie Wood's fifth solo album, Slide on This, is reissued by KOCH International in a deluxe package. There is one bonus track, a remixed version of the leadoff song, "Somebody Else Might," but the real draw to this version of the album is the 56-page booklet packaged with it, which contains examples of Wood's painting. On a break from the Rolling Stones, Ron Wood worked on a solo album in 1992, recording Slide on This and releasing the album in September of 1992. The album was recorded in Dublin, Ireland where Wood was living at the time. Recording was done in both Ron Woods home in St. Kildare Ireland, and Windmill Lane Recording Studios in Dublin. Ron Wood took advantage of his Dublin location to invite some locals to play on tracks, including U2’s The Edge, and the Hothouse Flowers.
