Ode to the West Wind" is an ode, written by Percy Bysshe Shelley in 1819 near Florence, Italy. It was originally published in 1820 by Charles in London as part of the collection Prometheus Unbound, A Lyrical Drama in Four Acts, With Other Poems. Perhaps more than anything else, Shelley wanted his message of reform and revolution spread, and the wind becomes the trope for spreading the word of change through the poet-prophet figure.

Best of the West is a compilation recording by the Western band Riders in the Sky, released in 1987. By this point in their career, Riders in the Sky have become recognized as Western music authorities. They were at the forefront of sparking a revival of interest in Western music in the style of the Sons of the Pioneers. This album presents classic cowboy songs and new originals.
