It's not very dynamic for one thing; the band stuck in "loud 'n' groovy" mode for almost the entire album, there's no riffs that really snap your neck, no come down moments that get your eyes rolling into the back of your head, no truly righteous guitar solos. Seems that brevity is a curse for these guys since by far the strongest moment is the 11 minute long closer- the riffs get more room to breathe, there's more room for texture, there's a real slow, rather pummeling riff that gets rather brutal as it slows down throughout the song
