Ruby and the Romantics, with their smooth sound on Our Day Will Come seemed like a natural and I wasn't surprised to find a really good group. They came from Akron, Ohio and played local dances and clubs and managed to get an audition with Alan Stanton at Kapp Records in New York. He liked their sound but wanted to feature Ruby Nash as the lead singer and gave them the new group name  . Got this CD because I also have the vinyl album and just bought it for the song "Our Day Will Come" but found out there are many other songs on this album which I love and did not know about previously. One person found this helpful.

Every day, Ruby would ask again if they could record "Our Day Will Come. Finally, Hilliard and Garson relented: the Romantics could have first crack at it, but if it failed to take off, Jack Jones would get it. Finally the big day came: October 25, 1962. The first track laid down was "Moonlight And Music," written by Leroy Fann. Then they got to work on "Our Day Will Come. They did several takes, but it just didn't seem right. Released in November 1962, "Our Day Will Come" (with "Moonlight And Music" as the flip) took its time about charting. It didn't break into the national Pop charts until February 9, 1963. But it stayed for 13 weeks, including a single week in the spot (two weeks at on the R&B charts).
