Can You Help Me. In the Misty Moonlight. High on Love (alternate Backing Track). Come and Get It (demo version). The Knickerbockers were an American pop/rock band best remembered by their 1966 hit 'Lies'. The band was formed in 1964 in Bergenfield, New Jersey by Buddy Randell (lead vocals and saxophone), Jimmy Walker (drums), and brothers Beau Charles (guitar/vocals) and John Charles(bass/vocals). The Knickerbockers were discovered in Albany, New York by Jerry Fuller and signed to Challenge Records. In 1966, The Knickerbockers released their only Top 20 hit with the song 'Lies'.

The Knickerbockers soldiered on, appearing in the movie Out of Sight (1966) and as regulars on Dick Clark's ABC-TV program, Where the Action Is (1965–1967). Though the band had a strong songwriter in Beau Charles, they were hampered by their label's ineptness, and drummer Walker left in late 1967 to replace Bobby Hatfield in The Righteous Brothers. Walker also recorded three solo singles for Columbia Records in 1968–1969, before retiring to Wyoming for much of the 1970s. Buddy Randell was the next to depart. The Knickerbockers were a solid frat rock band from New Jersey who managed a fabulous Beatles pastiche with "Lies" in 1966, and nearly duplicated the feat with their follow-up, "One Track Mind. Unfortunately that was pretty much it. This collection of unreleased tracks and (mostly) stereo remixes does little to change the Knickerbockers' status as one-hit wonders. Not that anything here is patently bad, but aspirations aside, most of this album is truly forgettable. Jerry Fuller, Jimmy Walker.
