Documental album from Big Big Train's baby steps. Typical Neo Prog with little originality, average sound quality but containing some really fine cuts. Recommended, especially if you are a fan of the style. From The River to the Sea is the first full-length demo album by the now famous Big Big Train!

The roots of Big Big Train go back to 1981 in Birmingham, England, when Greg's brother Nigel Spawton joined with Ed Serafinas, Pete McDonald, Steve Lugg and Tim McCarty in the punk outfit known as Big Big Train. The response to the album was very positive, culminating in a licensing deal in Japan where the CD was re-released in 1995, with a bonus track.
It’s a brand new Big Big Train album. Less than 2 months after the release of their most recent album ‘Grimspound’, the group swiftly return with more music. This is also just about a year from when the group released the ‘Folklore’ album. Quite a prolific output by any measure. Grimspound’ was originally intended to be a companion EP to ‘Folklore’ but evolved into a complete separate album.
