Kevin Drumm has been on a bit of a splurge lately. After a 20-plus-year career of systematically fucking shit up with his tabletop guitar and collection of deedats and doohickeys spitting out albums of noisey glory on a host of labels around the world, he has recently turned to Bandcamp and flooded it with even more glorious ruckus at an alarming rate over the past two years.

Kevin Drumm is an experimental musician based in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Emerging from the city's improvised music scene, in the 1990s he became one the world's pre-eminent prepared guitar players. Years active from 1991.
One Quiet Night is a solo acoustic guitar album by Pat Metheny that won the Grammy Award for Best New Age Album in 2004. He recorded the album at his home studio on a baritone guitar built for him by Linda Manzer. In the liner notes, Metheny called One Quiet Night a homemade album that was recorded with one guitar, one microphone, and mistakes. Most of the album was recorded in one day, November 24, 2001, with additional recording in January 2003
As night fell on the 20th century, Chicago improviser Kevin Drumm began to gather up all its darkest strands in one corroded braid. His starting point was an electric guitar, laid clinically on a slab, and dissected in neat, quiet strokes. Over the next 15 years and counting, he grew louder, bolder, and more ambitious, drawing in aspects of black metal, harsh noise, drone, concrete music, and free electronics.
