Bitch Magnet is a career-spanning three-disc box-set of the band Bitch Magnet, released on December 6, 2011 through Temporary Residence Limited. It contains all of the band's recorded output, including two studio albums, an EP, and alternate mixes of previously released songs. The tracks were completely remastered by Alan Douches for their inclusion in the set. All tracks written by Bitch Magnet. Orestes Delatorre – drums. Dave Galt – guitar on Umber.

Ben Hur is the second full-length and final album released by the American post-hardcore band Bitch Magnet. It was recorded after the departure of Bitch Magnet's added guitarist, David Gait, and features an appearance by the band's occasional guitarist, David Grubbs. Ben Hur was recorded by Louisville, Kentucky producer Howie Gano who had engineered albums by Grubbs' previous band, Squirrel Bait.

Album by Bitch Magnet. Lookin' at the Devil. (CD - The Communion Label. On their final recording, Bitch Magnet moves away from their streamlined noise attack to wallow in a messier, more open-ended sound; their songs stretch out as well, with the opening "Dragon" clocking in at over nine minutes in length. Ben Hur also exhibits a considerable expansion of the group's sonic range - "Mesentery" is a blast of pure noise power, while the beautiful "Crescent" presages Sooyoung Park's more atmospheric work in his next project, the superior Seam.

I'd argue this band is way different from Slint in sound, the Grubs Squirelbait connection is all. The vocals are way in the background of each song, the vocals non-prominence makes it all the more powerful in the same way as the vocals on Black Flags 'In My Head'. There are a lot of epic build ups, fluid riffing and solid tracks. To give it the Post Rock tag dilutes the album greatly before listening, it doesn't have that detachment that is so familiar to the Post Rock genre.Ben Hur is different to the other Bitch Magnet albums and is arguably their greatest achievement. Bitch Magnet in my view made one of the greatest rock albums ever made that recontextualised what a guitar band can do.
Kaim
This is pretty tough to find these days but is worth searching for. It's similar in many ways to Slint's 'Tweez' and featured David Grubbs (who was apparently in Slint prior to any released recordings). It definitely has a kind of proto-postrock feel - particularly in the mumbled vocal department!
